New Zealanders are known for their love of exploration, journeying to every corner of the globe in search of new adventures.
I consider myself a typical Kiwi in this respect, having had the fortune to visit numerous countries, experiencing diverse cultures and marveling at breathtaking landscapes.
After years of living and working in Saudi Arabia and without any concrete retirement plans, a casual comment from a Sri Lankan friend sparked a new adventure. Intrigued by the charm of a tropical paradise I had yet to explore, I decided to take the opportunity without hesitation.
From the moment I arrived in Sri Lanka, I was enchanted by its rich heritage, ancient temples, colorful festivals, and a vibrant blend of traditions. The stunning landscapes—lush tea plantations, pristine beaches, and misty mountains were magical .
I discovered countless silver linings; the warmth and hospitality of the people, their genuine smiles, and open hearts leave a lasting impression. I have forged deep friendships that transcend borders and cultures, connecting with kindred spirits.
In Sri Lanka, every moment becomes a treasured memory—whether exploring ancient ruins, savoring cuisine bursting with exotic flavors, rejuvenating the mind, body and soul or simply enjoying the tranquility of a sunset painted in rich shades of gold.
By opening the doors of Agandau House to guests like you, I hope to share not only my home but also my love for the magic of Sri Lanka.
I look forward to welcoming you to Agandau House.
